I have always enjoyed exercising in a group whether it be yoga, dance, or other fitness classes. For me, yoga was a way for me to overcome chronic lower back pain and develop core strength. As group yoga classes became more available, I found that each yoga teacher brought their own style. I wanted to learn more about the principles of yoga and discover what my own style of yoga might be. I see teaching yoga as a way for me to build firm connections between my mind and my body on the mat while also making connections with other people. I love that yoga enables me to build strength and flexibility while alleviating stress at the same time.
